Mental Health of Adolescents
& Young Adults

VMAP ECHO Cohort

50% of all mental illnesses begin by age 14, and 75% by 24.1

Despite these high numbers, less than 14% of children between 5 and 17 exver receive mental health care, leaving many of them to cope with their conditions without professional treatment until adulthood.2 This VMAP ECHO cohort is focused on mental health conditions that present in adolescents and young adults, and is designed to equip PCPs with the tools and skills to support these patients. Below is an overview of what this cohort covers.
