Regional VMAP Care Navigation Advisory Committee Application

The purpose of each VMAP Care Navigation Regional Advisory Committee is to provide regional communication between community services and the VMAP Regional Hub Team. Meetings will include an opportunity to share local service updates, discuss community concerns and trends related to mental and behavioral health, and explore advocacy opportunities.

These Regional Advisory Committee meetings will be held quarterly during weekday work hours and may have in-person or hybrid options for attendance. We anticipate that they will be 90-minute meetings.

Including family voice is very important to our process. In an effort to encourage and acknowledge the participation of individuals with lived experience, at least one advisory committee spot will be reserved for an individual with lived experience in the mental health system (or their caregiver). If you are interested in participating in this group as a family representative (outside of your professional role) we are able to provide a stipend for participation.

We currently have advisory committees in VMAP’s Northern Eastern, and Central regions (see map for clarity). We will be starting the Western and Southwestern groups in 2023.

Applications are currently open for participants in all regions.

If selected to participate, we would like committee members to commit to an initial 2-year term.
